November 12, 2009 – Lakewood, CA (Cable Muse Network) – Wednesday afternoon, entertainment mogul Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson made the last stop of his five cities Macy’s mall tour at the Lakewood Shopping Center in California to promote his new fragrance, Power.

The cologne Power is the Baby by Me rapper’s first scent in his Lighthouse Beauty cosmetics company. Jackson acknowledged that six years ago he would have by no means anticipated the debut of his own bouquet. “I’ve come a long way since 2003. Over the last six years I’ve been exposed to different things. I’m learning, I’m obviously a work in progress and feel like I’ll be better tomorrow than today”, said Jackson.

‘Power’ was developed by 50 Cent together with Firmenich icon Harry Fremont. The cologne ingredients picked by Jackson himself included black pepper, lemon leaves and dark wood. The process of picking the ingredients was the most exciting and intriguing thing for the rapper. “It’s been an amazing process of creating the fragrance, the process was real interesting,” explained 50 Cent. ”I didn’t realize what exactly went into it, but now I see why Sean Combs (Diddy) would be interested in doing it; it shows another side of your character.”

Power’ cologne is sold at Macy’s in two sizes with a 1.7 oz. retailing at $50.50 and a 3.4 oz. for $68.50. The first 200 shoppers that purchased the larger size received autographs and were able to take photos on stage with Jackson after the event at Macy's.

This is not 50’s first time entering this terrain. He had an arrangement with Gillette for the RBX Pure 50 Body Spray earlier last year. Alas, sales of the body spray did not generate the figures that were projected and the deal was jettisoned. This time the outcome possibly could be dissimilar since Jackson has already signed reality TV star Kim Kardashian to Lighthouse Beauty. But then again, he’ll have to compete against Combs’ I Am King.

This new venture by Curtis Jackson coincides with the release of his new book The 50th Law’, a self-proclaimed business and streets bible co-written with acclaimed author Robert Greene.
